"Raul should be benched."

According to readers of Spanish sportspaper Marca, Raul should be left out of Real Madrid's starting line-up.

The striker has been receiving competition from strikers as Ruud van Nistelrooy and Jose Antonio Reyes, and the imminent return of Ronaldo might leave the Spaniard benched.

Sixty percent of the voters, 29,000 in total, would like for coach Fabio Capello to leave Raul on the bench for the coming matches.

I think Raul is a great player and there is no doubt about it. But sometime luck will not favour you and sometime time will not be good for you. Just this is happened with Raul. I think he need some time to regain him and become the original RAUL. And I think leave him on the bench and practice with the team will be good for him.
