Real Madrid confirm record TV deal.

Real Madrid have confirmed that they have secured a new television deal that will net the club 800million euros.

An unnamed Spanish media company has bought a 7-season package which will begin in the 2008-09 season.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said: "It's the richest contract in the history of world sport."

Sogecable hold the current rights and pay 55million euros each season to feature the Spanish giants.
