Ronaldo returns for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo has received a surprise call-up to the Real Madrid squad for Tuesday night's Champions League match with Dynamo Kiev.

Ronaldo has not played since undergoing knee surgery in July and Real coach Fabio Capello said last week that he did not expect the Brazil striker to return for a fortnight.

However, the 30-year-old has been training normally with the rest of the Real squad recently and Capello has decided to draft him in for Tuesday's clash.

Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is also set to be involved after attending the birth of his daughter overnight in Madrid.

Real will be looking to get their Champions League campaign up and running against Dynamo after losing their opening Group E match 2-0 against Lyon.
