REAL MADRID TO SPONSOR F1 CAR IN 2007.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has said the Spanish Primera Liga football club has reached an agreement with a top Formula One team for next season to put its logo on a Formula One car at next year's Spanish grand prix.

Calderon was quoted in the Spanish media as saying the car will be painted white for the Barcelona race. He said, "the agreement is with a team with a good chance of winning and will be for one or two grand prix, but at Montmelo (Circuit de Catalunya) for sure."

"It's a very nice project and the design is already done, with the cars painted all white and the Real Madrid logo," Calderon was quoted as saying by Marca. The Spaniard did not name the team but said it was a winning one.

Spanish driver and 2006 World Champion Fernando Alonso is a confessed Real Madrid fan. He will move to the McLaren team next year.
