Calderon - We want Woodgate back .

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says Middlesbrough loan star Jonathan Woodgate has a future at the Bernabeu if he wants it.The 26-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at the Riverside Stadium after injuries ruined his time at Real, but he hinted when he arrived that he still wants to resurrect his career with Los Merengues.

Boro have an option to sign the player permanently at the end of the season, but Boro boss Gareth Southgate has conceded the club will have to work hard to convince him to stay.Calderon has now made Boro's task harder by suggesting Woodgate will have the chance to win his place back in Madrid if he stays fit:

"We wish the best for him. He had a very bad moment here. He had a very difficult injury.

"We know that now he's playing very well. We don't really know if he wants to come back here. We'd like to if he decides that."
