Beckham misses Racing chance.

David Beckham has been ruled of Real Madrid’s home match against Racing Santander tomorrow because of a knee injury.

The midfielder is suffering from an inflamed meniscus in his left knee and has been unable to take part in group training all week.

It remains to be seen if the former England captain will be fit in time for next Tuesday’s important Champions League match with Group E leaders Lyon.

Also missing from Fabio Capello’s 18-man squad for the game against Racing are injured Brazilian duo Ronaldo and Cicinho, plus striker Antonio Cassano, who has been overlooked.
