Real Madrid, Barcelona battle for Chelsea's Robben.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are going head-to-head for Chelsea winger Arjen Robben.

Both clubs are in the market for a new left-sided midfielder and have penned Robben at the top of their shopping lists, says DiarioSport.

Robben is weighing up his future at Chelsea, particularly with manager Jose Mourinho now staying on next season. The pair haven't seen eye-to-eye this term over Robben's injury record, though the Blues boss was full of praise for the winger over the way he performed on Tuesday night at Liverpool.

Robben was promised to Real fans by Ramon Calderon as he battled for last summer's presidency and remains a target for the Madrid club. Barca coach Frank Rijkaard, meanwhile, is a big fan of his fellow Dutchman and is convinced his versatility would fit well into his playing system.
